Here's a little something that's special to me.
Many years ago, my Grandmother, Elsie Elizabeth (Smith) Teske, wrote some things down in a journal.
Here is one that I think should be shared this Thanksgiving season. I'm keeping the spelling
just as she wrote it, and, as she said in her journal,
"I learned this Poem when I was a young kid when I was going to school, what little time I went.
I was 8 yers old before I ever went. quit when I was 13....no one cared. And I hated school myself."
Even though, she had little 'schooling', she taught herself to read, and was surely wise in many ways.
I hope you enjoy this poem, and that we will all, take a lesson from it.
